Huge fans of MARIO and his group. Everyone was extremely professional and dedicated to getting our townhouse sold in this less than stellar selling market. MARIO is unbelievably responsive--no matter what day or time of the night. They have an excellent system so that you get emailed feedback within a few hours of each showing. In negotiations MARIO is great, level headed but blunt when he needs to be. I never got the sense he would "sell us down the river" just to make a quick sale. Every piece of advise he gave during negotiations turned out to be true. He knows his stuff and he runs a tight ship. I can't say enough good things about them!
I originally chose the MARIO GRECO team because I sent MARIO an email while he was vacationing. I then received his automatic "out of office" reply and then less then a minute later I received his response. Good communication is a necessary quality too often forgotten. HAAKON did an outstanding job and always answered his phone. I hold every one that I work with or work for to the same high standard of service that I provide to my clients and HAAKON did not disappoint. Even my tenant expressed what a great job he did. MARIO has put together a great "tag team" model in his approach to real estate. As a client, it was great to see MARIO cc'd on every email and was uber impressed to have MARIO's reply and commentary on them as well. If you want your place sold in a crappy market, call MARIO. Last Spring we decided that it was time to make the move from the city to the suburbs but were faced with the unappealing task of selling a condo bought in 2008 in a declining market. It was a necessary move for us but very stressful. MARIOand his entire team carried out the task in under four months in an efficient, business-like manner. MARIO is a no-nonsense guy. He isn't going to hold your hand or guide you to try to sell your place for more than it's worth. He and his agents will accommodate showings at all hours, give you immediate feedback on showings, respond to any concerns immediately and do what it takes to keep your place freshly marketed until it's sold. I'm not really sure when MARIO is not working. We've dealt with part-time agents that don't prioritize you and your sale. MARIO made us feel like we were his only client and exemplified professionalism. We also used the MARIO GRECO group on the buy side. The suburbs guy, LEHIGH, did a great job helping us to understand an initially unfamiliar vast and daunting suburban spread. He was patient with us as we discovered that our budget and wishlist didn't quite match. In the end, he guided us to a community we didn't initially consider. We found a wonderful house that we are thrilled to be in. We were happy with the purchase price as well. In short, the MARIO GRECO group will get the job of selling your place done in as painless of a manner as possible. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. I highly recommend them.
I was looking for an agent that could sell my home quickly. I had previously had my home on the market, with a different agent, for 7 months, too many showings to count, and no offers. MR. GRECO came out to my home and took stock of what he saw. He suggested I have it staged. He also told me what he would probably list it at. Additionally, MR. GRECO brought books of comparables, letters of reference, and a plan of exactly how he would market my home. I listed my home with him. Prior to it even going on the market, MR. GRECO said he already had a showing scheduled. Bottom line: 1 showing and an offer 12 hours after my house went on the market. MR. GRECO did an outstanding job of negotiating the price and it was 98% of what I was asking. I would use him again in a heartbeat.
Outstanding real estate group. My husband and I have been transferred over ten times so we are very familiar with the positives and negatives of the real estate processes. MARIO listed and sold our condo in Lincoln Park in 2009. It had 90+ showings, we were priced right, but the unit needed stainless steel updates and hardwood redone. Once the offer was received, MARIO chatted with both of us prior to beginning negotiations. He took charge of it and came back with a number which was acceptable. He is a tremendous negotiator. I will stress it is imperative to have someone who is at the top of their game representing you on this piece. This either puts a deal together or does not. MARIO Greco is the only one you want representing you on your property because he will represent YOU and put the sale together for you. In all our years, he is the best we have seen. The bottom line is the goal to sell your home or purchase one. MARIO's group is buttoned up from start to finish. MARIO Greco is the only one you want doing your negotiations. We can't say enough good things about the MARIO Greco Group (specifically, MARIO and ALEX NETTY). We put our place on the market last June, and despite a situation that was difficult at best (the condo quite frankly didn't have a lot of living space and was in a neighborhood where there was lots of competition), the MARIO Greco group did OVER sixty showings and they never complained about the resources it took to constantly show the condo. The supporting team was equally as impressive. The "team approach" worked wonders - we loved getting write-ups (feedback) minutes after each showing ended and the office staff (everyone from the photographer to the scheduling assistant) was nothing but wonderful. As for the main players in our experience, MARIO himself was always accessible by Blackberry (the guy must sleep with it under his pillow as he answered emails while on a European vacation) with candid advice on the market (always looking out for our best interests) and Alex was the constant strategist (he has an uncanny ability to see the "bigger picture" in the Chicago market and has a great feel for the comps and what it takes to sell a unit). What impressed us most was that when we FINALLY got an offer and had to walk-away due to unforeseen financial circumstances (READ: not being able to come up with the cash because we were so underwater), MARIO and Alex were completely understanding about the situation and quite frankly, showed us the class, compassion and respect that we had come to expect. We're won't hesitate to utilize MARIO Greco (and Alex) again in a year or two when we try selling the condo for a second time once this awful market picks-up!
